You can train your mind to write 15 minutes at a time.
Get a kitchen timer. Preferably one with a loud bell.
Or the timer on your phone. Even an old-fashioned clock will do.
Set the timer and begin. Put your fingers on the keys or pen to paper.
It helps to have a specific writing goal in mind – article, post, book chapter.
Do nothing else for 15 minutes but write that project.
You may find the words explode out of you. You may experience anxiety or have a hundred other ideas.
All of these are normal.
It’s all part of the process of training your mind to write.
If you are new to this method give it time.
You may find yourself doing all of these things and more. (You may find yourself living in an extremely clean house!)

Practice this method every day. You will find yourself writing more, and better work, every time you set the timer.
It works for everyone because the mind can be trained to produce any result.
Especially when there are precise limits placed on the completion of the task.
