Dear friend,
You can calm your mind using this meditation script in the next few minutes.
This calming exercise is based on the ideas in The Greatest Self-Help Book Ever Written and is provided free of charge to our readers.
You can get access to the MP3 recording of this meditation in the Member’s Area by clicking here.
Script begins here:
If you want to experience …
What it’s like …
To be calm …
Instantly …
You can do this now …
Take three deep breaths …
Exhale …
Inhale …
Exhale …
Inhale …
Exhale …
Now you can pretend – just for a moment – that you are calm.
Take another deep relaxing breath.
And exhale …
And because you are now calm, because you find it easy to pretend to be calm, ask yourself what is in your control,
It is clear to you that you can stop and take three deep breaths.
And because you know that it is in your control to stop …
And take three deep breaths …
You also know that you can ask yourself again, what is in my control …
And because you can pretend to be calm you know that you are in control of your emotional state.
Now once again take three deep breaths …
Inhale …
Exhale …
Inhale …
Exhale …
Inhale …
Exhale …
And because you can take three deep breaths …
And calm your mind …
You can ask yourself …
What is the cause of your emotional distress …
Because you can see how you can control your breathing …
and your mental state … it is also obvious that the way you were interpreting things is most likely the cause of getting all worked up …
And as you continue breathing, easily and naturally, you can decide that it is within your control to let go …
To let go of the meaning you are giving to things …
That are not in your control …
You can let go of thoughts that are causing you distress …
Because you see that these thoughts are not real …
They are only real when you give them power …
And you can just as easily …
And perhaps this will become easier with time …
Take three deep breaths
Exhale …
Inhale …
Exhale …
Inhale …
Exhale …
And you can continue to experience being calm …
Which is real …
Because you have focused ..
On your breathing …
And on things that are …
Within your own control …
Because you know …
We choose your own thoughts …
And especially …
When we choose to focus …
On things that are within our own control …
And release those that are not …
Within our own control …
Calmly …
Deciding not to entertain those …
That are not …
And because you enjoy this sensation …
Of being calm …
And breathing deeply
You can continue …
To focus …
On the things that are within …
Your own control …
Script end.
Enjoy,
Frank G.
