If you’re trying to do something difficult, bigger than you’ve ever attempted, the mental boogies can defeat you before you even begin.
There’s a simple way to beat those shadows.
You start by recalling at least one thing you’ve done before where it looked impossible – even where people were rooting against you.
Remember all the details, including the doubts you had leading up to your victory.
When you’ve got that “feeling” back, simply say to yourself:
“If I can do that, I can do this.”
The this of course is what you’re doing now.
Transferring the old feeling of victory to the thing in front of you right now is a guaranteed way to life your effort over the finish line.
